Private Sector
- Worldwide - WDI is a key member of an ABT-led consortium that was awarded one of six contracts to design and implement macroeconomic development projects throughout the emerging markets world for the US Agency for International Development. The WDI role in this five-year project will be to address tax policy, trade and investment policies, and more general macroeconomic and gender-related issues. (>>more)
- Morocco - Through a series of faculty led MBA team consulting activities and intensive short-term training sessions on entrepreneurship, WDI assisted members of Morocco's private sector to substantially gain from the recently concluded Free Trade Agreement between the United States and Morocco. - Macedonia - WDI trained 15 Macedonians representing the local stock market, corporations, academia, and business and legal associations in shareholder rights, protection, and democracy. (>>more)
- China - WDI analyzed the development of science and technology parks in Beijing and Shanghai for the World Bank's comprehensive East Asia project.
- Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia - WDI worked with the European Union to research and provide advice on accession-related issues. Research related to this grant focused on labor issues, foreign direct investment and corporate governance.
- Montenegro - WDI provided consulting services in the areas of business development, pension reform, corporate governance and data collection and analysis to the Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognosis, a private economic-research institute.
