"Employee Engagement through Data & Dialogue"

In this workshop, we explore the topics of employee engagement and employee surveys in new ways. First, we define employee engagement, drawing on theoretical work and research focused on what drives individual and firm performance. Then we move on to what can affect the kinds of behaviors leaders and managers can "engage in."  It’s more complex than simply saying employees are going “above and beyond.” The focus on the behavior needs to be strategic to ensure that the employee engagement intervention is driving the right types of behavior for your organization.

Additionally, we evaluate the role of the employee survey as more than a tool for data collection. The data also enriches dialogue in the leadership process. Using several case studies and research results, you will learn how to use this data to drive business strategy and goals. We will also integrate learning from the Leadership Pulse, an ongoing global study of leaders. This data provides us with a lens into today’s challenges, allowing us to define the best ways to use data in addressing the critical challenges faced by top leaders.
