WDI Sponsoring a Washington, D.C. Roundtable on "Restoring America's Image Abroad."
Wednesday, December 03, 2003, Washington, D.C.
The William Davidson Institute sponsored a Washington, D.C. roundtable on "Restoring America's Image Abroad." Professor Rajeev Batra, the Davidson Institute's Area Director for Marketing, was the featured speaker and WDI Distinguished Scholar Madeleine K. Albright, the former U. S. Secretary of State, chaired this discussion. Professor Batra was joined by representatives of the Pew Research Center.
Participants explored America's image overseas and the many challenges facing the U.S. on the public diplomacy front. In addition to exploring Pew's research on global attitudes toward the U. S., Professor Batra made key recommendations on how our U. S. government and State Department ought to try to turn around unfavorable attitudes toward the United States.
