Lighting Up Rural India

D. light, a start-up company founded by recent graduates of Stanford Business school has created three different types of light for rural India. Its portable Nova light has a high-powered LED that d.light claims can run for 40 hours on a full charge. It comes with a solar panel, so recharging costs nothing. D. light also has a special emphasis on redesigning solar--and trying to eliminate kerosene.
