Sateen possesses over ten years of experience in both corporate and non-profit environments.  His skill-set is varied and includes expertise in BoP/social business impact assessment and business development, product development and management, project management and social media/web strategy.

 

He was a management consultant for Deloitte Consulting and Commerce One Global Services, managing and implementing Internet business solutions for several Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, he spent several years working for Wells Fargo, where he was manager responsible for business development and product strategy in the Social Media and Mobile space.

 

In the non-profit sector, Sheth has experience working in multiple capacities such as program development manager, caseworker, and focus group moderator. He previously worked at the William Davidson Institute (WDI) as a research associate working on the Base of the Pyramid (BoP) Research Initiative. At WDI, Sateen advised organizations on social business model development and led the strategic design and implementation of several BoP impact assessment studies. He also co-authored a paper published in the Journal of Business Research titled, "Creating mutual value: Lessons learned from ventures serving base of the pyramid producers " that assessed and developed a framework around the common constraints facing BoP Producers.

 

Sateen re-joined WDI in 2012 and now serves as Research Manager responsible for leading the Catalyzing and Scaling Impact Enterprises to Benefit the Poor and Vulnerable project in partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation. The project will look at the development and investment in social enterprises from an impact investing perspective. In addition, Sateen is participating in other efforts related to Business Development and Impact Assessment with other BoP ventures and organizations.

 

Sateen has a BS in Math Applied Science and Business Economics from UCLA; he received his Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2007.
