A graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Entrepreneur Certificate Program, which is run by WDI, recently won two awards in a business competition in Rwanda.
The April 6 presentation by Onno Schellekens, managing director of the Investment Fund for Health in Africa, is now available for viewing. His presentation was titled, “When Markets Fail: The Need for a New Development Paradigm.”
Natalia Gero, a project administrator for WDI’s Development Consulting Services, recently returned from a trip to Rwanda where she talked with past and present participants of the Goldman Sachs Scholarship Program.
WDI Senior Research Fellow Ted London has been selected as part of the 10-member international judging panel for the World Business and Development Awards. London, who also directs WDI’s Base of the Pyramid Research Initiative, was a judge for the awards in 2010 too.
