Gillett

Gillett spoke with the MBA international students that make up the class about how to network with corporate recruiters. Her talk was titled, “Network with Recruiters with Confidence: 10 Steps to Success.”

Her talk was designed to help students talk more effectively with corporate recruiters during corporate presentations. She helped them plan what to say to recruiters, as well as discuss some aspects of American business culture that come into play – including a firm handshake and maintaining good eye contact throughout the conversation. Gillett also discussed basic networking strategies, including how to join a conversation in progress and how to exit a conversation gracefully.

Gillett was invited to speak by Rebecca Shark, associate director of Career Consulting and Education in the Career Services office at Ross.
