Thursday, April 9, 2015

WDI Director of Healthcare Research Prashant Yadav was one of six people from academia and the biotech industry named to the board of advisors for the Bio Supply Management Alliance (BSMA), whose mission it is to advance a holistic end-to-end supply chain management for biotech.

Yadav joins Jayant Aphale (Sarepta Therapeutics), Johan Denecke (Thermo Fisher Scientific), Joel Sutherland (University of San Diego), Prentice Curry (Kite Pharma) and Sophia Sharp-Donaldson (Baxter Healthcare) as new members of the board.

BSMA Executive Director Devendra Mishra said the addition of Yadav and the others deepens and expands the advisory board leadership.

“It augurs extremely well for supply chain management of biopharma as these eminent leaders of our industry bring their unique insights, knowledge and experience,” Mishra said.

The board drives the BSMA mission to: build effective and efficient biotech supply chain management strategies by developing, advancing, and disseminating best practices, knowledge, and research; invent innovative approaches for the highest quality and clinical outcomes in patient care; and, create a community of supply chain management thought and practice leaders from the business, professional, and academia.
