Past Global Impact Internship Projects

The WDI Global Impact Internship Program has supported partnerships between University of Michigan graduate students and businesses or non-profits in emerging market economies since 1993.  The objective of the program is to provide students with international business experience and to provide partner organizations with the benefit of student expertise and assistance.

WDI separates its internships into two categories: partnership projects, and student-initiated.

WDI partnership internships:  WDI partners with organizations doing work related to one of our research initiatives - base of the pyramid, the business of healthcare, green leap, or globalization of services.

WDI student-initiated internships:   Students identify and contact an organization doing innovative work in an emerging market. The student, along with the organization, co-defines an opportunity, receives a commitment from the organization, and submits a proposal to WDI. Proposals that relate to WDI's research and mission are preferred.
