Supporting and Enhancing the Student Experience
Since its founding in 1992, WDI has been committed to supporting and enhancing the experiences of students at the University of Michigan. WDI organizes and funds student summer internships through its WDI Global Impact Internship Program, and supports select Ross School of Business graduate student projects through the Multidisciplinary Action Projects (MAP).
The monthly Global Impact Speaker Series features thought leaders, practitioners and innovators who work in emerging markets economies. It has brought highly successful business leaders from various organizations to campus to share their experiences, provoke thought, and stimulate discussion around the opportunities and challenges of international development, specifically healthcare issues and poverty alleviation in emerging markets.
Students also have the opportunity to get involved as a Research Assistant (check for current openings) or take a class in Business Strategies for the Bottom of the Pyramid.
