Christine Yip Cruzvergara

As the Assistant Dean & Executive Director of University Career Services at George Mason University, Christine leads an office of 20+ professionals in a centralized career center serving approximately 34,000 students. She previously worked in career services at Georgetown University and in new student orientation and student activities at The George Washington University. She completed her Master’s degree in College Student Personnel from University of Maryland, College Park and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University. Christine currently serves as the Co-Chair for the Career Readiness strategic initiative committee within the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and recently concluded her term as Chair for the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Commission for Career Development after completing a three-year term on the directorate board. She received the NACE Rising Star Award in 2013, the Leadership Award for her service to ACPA’s Commission for Career Development in 2011 and the Volunteering Award in 2010. She has delivered a number of presentations at national and regional conferences and has strong interests in career services, student transition, intergroup dynamics, leadership, and management.
