Kyle Jarrett

Kyle Jarrett (MBA/MPP 2021) graduated from Clemson University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he worked as a public sector consultant in Washington, D.C., for five years before taking a leave of absence to travel and teach in Latin America. His experiences living in both Nicaragua and Colombia sparked a passion for international development, and he returned to school in 2018 to pursue a dual MBA/MPP at the University of Michigan. Since he began his dual degree at U-M, he has participated in multiple projects with the William Davidson Institute, including BA 685 and a WDI-sponsored internship. In BA 685, Healthcare Delivery in Emerging Markets, he helped write a business plan for a medical technology company based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, hoping to bring the first PET/CT technology into the country. As a 2020 intern, Jarrett developed strategies for new product development and positioning for an accelerator working with micro-, small- and medium enterprises in southern India. After graduation, he plans to return to consulting before eventually joining a multilateral agency in an advisory role with a focus on rural community development in Latin America.
