Sonal Thawani
Sonal Thawani (MBA 2021). Prior to pursuing her degree at Michigan Ross, Thawani spent more than six in early-stage technology start-ups as a product manager in the business intelligence and cybersecurity spaces. In her most recent role, Thawani was responsible for the global go-to-market strategy of a $40 million enterprise software line. Thawani has managed and collaborated with teams in Serbia, India and Brazil. As a daughter of former refugees, Thawani is energized by opportunities that leverage digital technology to improve health, accessibility, and educational outcomes in emerging markets. During her Michigan Ross Multidisciplinary Action Project (MAP), she worked with U-M’s Global Health Equity Center and clinical partners around the world to develop a five-year strategic plan for operationalizing the center.
Thawani holds a B.A. in International Relations and South Asian Studies from Rutgers University. She is an analyst at the International Investment Fund.
