Assessing the Allocative Efficiency of the Flexi-Pool Financing Under the National Rural Health Mission of India

September 2011 - May 2012

Overview

This project aimed to understand the allocative efficiency of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) flexipool fund — a money pool allocated to each Indian state to allow bottom up planning and allocation. The project used an intermediate outcomes approach using primary data from state facilities as well as community surveys, context mapping, and comparison of ideal/reference resource allocation.
