Modeling Global Demand for Rectal Artesunate

WDI developed a global demand forecast for rectal artesunate, a treatment for severe malaria. Medicines for Malaria Veneture (MMV), together with its development and manufacturing partners, intends to develop an intra-rectal artesunate product that will be submitted to the World Health Organization’s Medicines Prequalification Program in 2015. In order to inform manufacturers of the size of this market, MMV sought to understand the global demand for this product. WDI developed a global forecast for Intra-rectal Artesunate to be utilized for three years after the product is developed.
