Are you a mission-driven entrepreneur working with impact investors? Your experience matters – and we want to hear from you.
WDI and Acumen, a non-profit impact investment fund, have teamed up for “Founders in Focus,” a research initiative built around a simple idea: Entrepreneurs should have a real voice in shaping the impact investing ecosystem.
Through a confidential survey, we’re asking founders to candidly share about their experiences engaging with investors – everything from due diligence and impact reporting requests to decision timelines and the quality of non-investment support.
The survey, managed by WDI’s Impact Measurement and Management team, to protect founder anonymity, asks questions like:
- What are the advantages and disadvantages of raising capital from impact investors compared to traditional investors?
- Has your company’s access to capital been improving, holding steady, or worsening?
- Would you raise capital from the current investor again?
Entrepreneurs also can rate individual investors on timeliness, communication, and the quality of support they provide. Those ratings will be rolled up into investor-specific benchmark reports, without identifying individual respondents.
The survey takes about 20 minutes and is open through June 12.
